Question for those who've had C sections

I remember after my first C section that the nurses would come in once in a while and press down hard on my stomach. I think they were checking my uterus or something but it hurt like everything. Is that a normal thing they do after all C sections? I'm just mentally preparing myself and trying to remember all these little details I forgot about.

yea they apperantly do it w. vaginal births too but i think it hurts more after you just got cut open

It seems like pushing on the stomach like that might open up the incision, but they should know what they're doing.

yes..and it is to message the uterus to help with stopping the bleeding..but I was told with a c section it is not as bad...i dunno...and yes it hurts a little....:) you will be fine...

I remember it hurting pretty badly, but maybe this time will be different.

oh yea... that **** hurts like hell too...damn my belly hurts thinking about it now....lol
